About UIU IAS
The motivation of forming Student Branch Chapter of IEEE Industry Applications Society (UIU IAS SBC) was the visit of David B. Durocher, President, IEEE IAS Dr. Peter Magyar, IEEE Fellow and CMD Chair, IEEE IAS and Mohammad S. Islam, Chair, Awards Department, IEEE IAS, at the United International University in December, 2015. Dr. Peter delivered an inspirational presentation describing the benefits of having a Student Branch Chapter of IEEE IAS and inspired us to open the chapter soon. The application received approval on 25th February, 2016 and was inaugurated on 9th April, 2016.
